Summary
The NBA loves size and once Meyers Leonard measured and tested out well at the combine, you could see the rise up the draft boards coming. However, in the case of Leonard it's somewhat warranted. Like Andre Drummond, Leonard is raw offensively but can be dominant on defense and should contribute on that end early on in his NBA career. The upside is big for Leonard, especially because of the position he plays, however Leonard isn't without risks: he's raw offensively, but given his rate of improvement so far he can be expected to get better in that regard. He also can disappear for stretches and doesn't always concentrate as much as he should, but seasoning and some veterans around him should help with that.
