Summary
Andre Drummond reminds me of Derrick Favors from a couple years ago, Favors was the most talented player on the floor a lot of nights but he didn't always put up huge numbers, in fact sometimes he didn't do much of anything at all (see: Wake Forest, North Carolina) but why was that? Partially it was because he was was one of the youngest players in the country and wasn't used to the college game yet. However, the main reason was he was hardly ever given the ball in a good position by his teammates. When he did get the ball in good position, he was very effective, but it rarely happened. Drummond is more physically talented than Favors, but he also is very young and played on a dysfunctional team with teammates more interested in their own shots and making a flashy play. Is Drummond perfect? No, there's obvious risk but given his age and situation, there's no reason to think that a good situation and mature teammates can't turn him into an excellent NBA player.
